I have my t-10 (1959) rebuilt and back in the chassis along with the correct shifter and new shift linkage and levers (correct style). and have adjusted the gates to near perfect, actually machined a piece of aluminum to align a perfect neutral. However the 1-2 shift rod only threads into the shift lever about 2-3 threads. and when shifting will actually pop out. I have tried to replace the levers and linkage with a set from corvette central but still the same issue. I have verified:
- 1-2. 3-4 and reverse shift linkage are in the correct position
- Shift levers are about vertical when in neutral
anyone have a picture of a correct fully assembled levers and linkage on a t-10, the correct dimension for each shift linkage from the shifter eye to the end of the threaded rod for 1-2 and 3-4?
