It has methylene chloride, that must be why it works so well. I"ll have to re-read it again to see what else is in it. I can't believe that you can use it on wood with open grain and it is okay to use but not on fiberglass/gel coat surfaces.

What the label say about what is in it? The disclaimer might just be lawyer talk to cover there butt in case someone doesn't properly clean it off after using it.

I just looked at the MSDS on Klean Strip at HD. The current product does not have Methylene chloride in it.

I stripped my 1970 coupe using Zip-Strip, I had no damage to the glass and pretty easy to work with. As long as you let it work it would go through the finish paint and leave you with good primer.

I just did a search, and sure enough Zip-Strip no longer contains the good stuff.

With plants or distribution centers in North America, Europe, India, Asia and Australia, Recochem is delivering the highest quality products everywhere around the world 24/7/365.

Can't say I realized that stuff was so toxic. But as others have said I wasn't using it inside a house.

I 2nd the use of Citrus Strip. The razor blade worked in some of the flat areas. Citrus Strip needs to be left on for a while to work and it took 2 applications in most areas.
