67'--installing center console over shift lever
Is there a trick too get this center console on over the shift lever? Should the radio side panels be off to get the center console on. I currently have the radio side panels on and can't get the center console over the shift lever.

Take the side panels off. That is how I do it.

4-speed shift lever in 4th gear, when my tranny was set up for the long-shift pattern; and, it was still a tight squeeze. If your tranny is set up for short-shift pattern (like mine is now), then you best disconnect 3-4 shift lever from tranny. You should also protect the side panels with thin/tough cardboard or plastic so the finish is not scuffed by installation or removal of center console. It seems this was not one of the finer moments of Corvette assembly design, because with all the variables where all this stuff comes together, can make for a very tight fit.

I had one 67 that was so stubborn I dropped the shifter down from the bottom to prevent damage to the dash.Comment
