Is this an original or replacement master cylinder for a 65?

John, the 65 and 66 look the same if not identical. This looks like a 63 or 64..I'm sure more knowledgeable will chime in.

You have an aftermarket master cylinder which is similar to 64 master cylinder. The 64 master cylinder has "5464264" and 7/8" cast on it. Attached is a photo of 65-66 Corvette master cylinder. I think that I have another one somewhere in my garage.

the photo of the MC Dave posted is what a 65-66 nonPB MC looks like but totally dissimilar from the PB MC in 65. mike
