Where does this connector go? 1965 vert

This 65 is new to me and I have been trying to track down stuff. See attached photo. This connector was hanging below the radio and not sure where it goes. It looks like a B/W wire and a black wire. Not radio since it works. Heater blower works.

John does the black wires come from the back of Radio?

If it also has a red wire, which it looks like it does, it's the connector for the power antenna switch.

The car has no power antenna. It has a non-powered replacement.

it did when it was new so the wiring would be there unless someone removed it all

John, if you look under the drivers rear quarter panel back splash you should see a bracket riveted to it which held the power antenna. unless that panel was replaced.

That connector is part of the main wiring harness. The original power antenna's, which all 65's with the U-69 radio option had, were troublesome and many were replaced with non-original items.

This is what the switch connector looks like. Since your power antenna is MIA, it'd be a good idea to wrap some tape around your connector. Red is always hot and if the wire terminal in your connector hits ground it could burn up the harness.

No such item back there. Just the bottom of a generic/aftermarket antenna.

Thank you Rich. There is no antenna switch at all. PO must have cut it out altogether.

This is what it would have looked like when new.

Now that is nice. This is just going to be a driver, so I will leave well enough alone at this point. Thank you all for the info!
