          Rich,

          I don't know about being an expert. Working with 55 year old components is kind of nerve wrecking, everything is brittle as hell, hope the repair lasts. I tested it several times again this morning before reinstalling the rear vent cover and all is well, keeping my fingers crossed.

            Acquired this pdf regarding some wiring issues on some reproduction rear blower motor harnesses. Appears the GM Service document wiring diagram had some errors, and some repro harnesses followed the mistakes. Hopefully now corrected but attached for future reference if anyone runs across it. The wire errors prevented the motor from running all 3 speeds.
