Tom: Don't know if you want to get your car judged when finished but you wonder how the Judge will see your car's tint.
I had a LeMans Blue 68 coupe and my 1st time I got judged I got docked points for "correct color but wrong tint". I went on
to get it judged 3 more times and never got that docked again! I believe every judge also see colors different from the other

Tom, when parking cars (inside) for a Regional tried not to locate reds next to each other. Each red was slightly different especially under the florescent lights.

tom, just saw the pic of the front of the car. very nice. look at the right fender, look at the reflections in the fender of things around the car, notice how sharp the images are. thats one thing to look for in a paint job. what type of paint did you use? i would think a base coat clear coat. mike

All good info here. When I judge exterior, we always (when applicable) write at the top of the Exterior section front sheet that the car was judged indoors with incandescent lighting. This way, future owners, future judges, etc will know the lighting conditions that were present on that particular day of judging. Lighting can have a huge effect on paint. ARA

First thanks to everyone who responded with comments and photos. Lots of good stuff

Mike, I painted with Sherwin Williams Dimension BC and 5 coats of clear. Wet. Sanded between coats and then Final polish. Makes a very flat finished surface.
