Can anyone identify the accelerator control rod as shown in the 2 photos below? It measures 14 1/2" inches long with thread 1/4"-36 X 1 7/8" long threads. The "WM" logo is stamped about 2" from the non-threaded end. The slight bend is about 4" from the non-threaded end. I must have bought this rod at a swap meet. It appears to be N.O.S.
This rod is very similar to the 1966-1967 Corvette 327 rod, GM #3880168, which measures about 13 5/8" long and has the same "WM" logo and the same bend angle.
I have researched using the 14 1/2" length along with my vintage Chevrolet parts catalogs and found only one possibility....GM # 3913411 for 67 PASS., CHEVELLE (396, 427) (2nd design)(exc. Sp. H/Per.). The 1st design rod, GM # 3884868, is listed as 14 23/32" (or 14.72") in length. Most of the accelerator rods listed in the parts catalogs do not have a length in the description.
