Below is only one, of more than one.

Try searching "Hinckley" and "staples" without quote marks. One of the discussions includes a link to Mozetta's many photos (which includes a few staple photos). You have to scroll down a lot to find his "dust flap" photos. This is that, but still not the one I remembered...

Here's the pattern (part of a pizza box) after I drilled the holes. It was taped to the inside of the inner fender, and I drilled from the "wheel side" to duplicate the locations of the old staple holes. I couldn't use the old flaps as my pattern, as they were mostly gone. Only the two short pcs. at the front of the inner fenders were still there. I matched the poor (incomplete) closure of the staples that remain on each side, three staples for each of those short ones. I matched the rather poor (scattered staple locations) original holes. Even when one side of the staple "missed the edge" of the flap.

Not sure I like the repro. material for the main flaps. I have NOS (service) versions for a '67 (left and right = 3908198 & 3908199*) that I like better. They are more smooth. However, I am working on a '65.

*1963-1965 flaps are the same (no left and right part numbers), so why did they change for just one year?
