    Good used bulbs are sometimes a lot better than NOS NOS units have a tendacy to "smoke" quickly versus tried and proven originals.

        I have a set of both the originals and the LL repops.
        The bad;
        They do have some differences and can be identified as reproductions.
        The good;
        They claim the Reproductions take a few more watts and are brighter.

        Originals T3 high beams are easy enough to find for a decent price. Low beams are expensive.

          take your chance with originals and loose 25 in ops for one not working or lose four points in exterior for repro

            Keith, actually the math is a bit different. You have 4 headlight, two high beam and two hi-low. That's 6 bulb functions. 25/6 = 4 points per function failure. So, if just one high beam is out, that's a 4 point hit.

              Bruce,
              These are considered a Standard Deduction covered in the Corvette Judging Reference Manual, available on this site.
              Here is the headlight section. Now I assume you are concerned with judging, for the road use other stuff at the best price.

                I have a set of 4 originals with 2 spare high beams....only good for judging; the OP doesn't state his intentions....
                If you have a good set and slather some hi-temp RTV around the electrodes they may actually get through judging without a blowout.

                If its for driving, plug in a good set of Halogens so you can actually see at night...
