Question on bench bleeding the MC

    Guys,

I'm bench bleeding the PB MC for my 69 resto with DOT 5. The rear reservoir looks good to go, but after several minutes of pumping the MC I'm still getting an occasional small bubble in the front reservoir. It appears to be coming from a small hole at the bottom of the reservoir. All the adapters and hoses are tight and the end of the host is submerged in the brake fluid so no idea how more air could be getting in. Do I just keep pumping until there is zero bubbles no matter how long it takes? Where could it be coming from? Do I need to worry about this? Thanks for your help.

You are bleeding from the master cylinder output ports and not the bleeder screws aren't you? If so, try changing the angle of the master cylinder.

air somewhere? Maybe just sitting overnight has helped. But the bottom line is it is not ok to still get any air correct?

Yes, you do need to get all of the air out.

If this a repro master cylinder, it may not bleed with silicone fluid because the passages are more restrictive than an original Delco master cylinder and the viscosity of the fluid is greater.
