Hi all - I recently replaced the weather stripping on the doors of my 1994 convertible. Now it drains the battery when left parked. I pulled the big block fuse for interior under the hood and that stops the battery drain. I have replaced both door ajar switches thinking that would stop the drain - but it does not seem too. With a test light hooked up, it initially is bright and then kind of goes to a pulsing mood but does not go out entirely. I am not sure how I can get an amp reading on my multi-meter to determine the amount of drain. Is there some constant drain on the battery for whatever reason? I was thinking of pulling the door ajar switches and putting a jumper wire in the socket to see if that stops the drain. (I am assuming here that the switch is closed when the doors are shut).
Has anyone had a similar issue and can give me some suggestions? Thanks very much.
