Re: C3 right side dash panel removal
I removed the RH dash pad from my '70 a few days ago. Here's what I did without breaking anything:
- Remove the front console side extension (1 screw then pull down)
- Remove the flasher and courtesy light from their brackets
- Make sure the RH air duct is free from the vent inlet (this may be for AC cars only)
- Remove 3 screws along the top, 2 screws in the door jamb and 2 screws in the gauge bezel
- Gently pull towards you and down. Watch for the speaker harness which may be clipped to the back of the dash but should have slack
The only clip on my panel is a metal one retaining the top of the console side extension. It's not an issue after the extension is removed.Mark Edmondson

Re: C3 right side dash panel removal
You may find it helpful to remove, or at least loosen, the door sill. There were no clips as referenced in your shop manual. Given 50 years, you might well consider replacing the oil-pressure line as well.

Thanks Mark and Ed for the suggestions. It is the oil pressure line I am replacing. The grommet at the firewall had come loose and the oil line was abraded by the firewall and broke.- Top

Ah, I missed that. If you've not been in 'there' it is an incredible rat's nest. I wish I could advise you more. I replaced the line in mine, but had things more apart, so I can't offer you any tips on replacing just the line with the gauge in place.
