A 57k-mile 1971 LS6 finally is running well for the first time since 1978. It was parked then, after 2nd owner opened up the motor, determined it needed nothing, polished the crank, and let it sit. Resurrected over the past year, it was resistant to running strong until we discovered that the reproduction sleeve inside the exhaust pipe to locate the exhaust donut was too long, and prevented the heat riser from opening. Now it runs Strong!!!
