Mr. Houlihan's post took me back to the 4th edition and then to the 5th - I had missed the cap information. It is interesting that TSB #684 (dtd 11/21/60) stating that '61s before #1750 used VENTED caps stamped as such is not included. I guess I was looking for details on installation, retention, and bodywork for the 24 gallon tank. I also thought if there was a section on RPO 684 (pgs 326 & 327), there would be an RPO 687 section. Sorry I brought it up, but asking questions is how we dummies learned in the '70s and '80s. I've praised the 5th Edition before and am gratified to be include on "the page before i" as a previous participant in the 58-60 JG.
