Hi John, I have used the soft top tack strip kit from Corvette Central a few years back with no problems.

John, Do you mean the kit with the frame pivot bolts, pivot pins, C-clips, plastic washers, screws, etc?

I've used the kit from Zip Products for a '59 and '61. There are a few differences in the hardware pieces in the '56-'58 kits.

The kits I've seen are not exactly like original parts. Some of the washers and bolts are not exactly typical production but are functionally equivalent. I have a suspicion the kits offered by the vendors are from the same supplier but not positive.

You may want to Contact Sully's Tops and ask them about their kits. I've bought reproduction top bows from them and were very good. I got them through Zip so maybe Zip gets the frame hardware kits from them too.
