Re: Easiest way to install the radiator and shroud on a 69
Thanks John. When is the best time to install the lower radiator hose? It seemed to me that taking these parts out was extremely difficult with the hose there, making me think it's the last thing that should be installed, but installing it at the end is a PITA. Any advice?

Re: Easiest way to install the radiator and shroud on a 69
Michael, I’ve always installed the lower hose after the radiator is completely installed and you are correct it is a PITA. The two tips I can give you are
1. Make sure your lower hose has the large reinforcement spring installed so the hose does not collapse and cause over heating problems.
2. Use your finger or a rag to apply a small amount of anti freeze to the inside of the hose ends and the outside of the radiator/water pump connections. The anti freeze will give a bit of lubrication to the installation and allow the hose to slide on and rotate a bit easier.
I’d also like to clarify my earlier response regarding installation of the bottom two core support fasteners. Note I was referring to the two lower fasteners on the side of the support. Installing these two fasteners positions the support correctly but if left somewhat loose, will allow the support to tip forward. There are also larger fasteners from the frame up through the bottom of support, I leave those out until the radiator is installed and the side of the support is completely fastened.
