Correct exhaust system?

Does anyone make a correct 2" carbon steel exhaust for the 69 427? All the usual suppliers only sell aluminizes or S/S. Any others out there? Mark

I think a company called Gardner was making carbon steel systems. From what I have heard they are not 100% accurate but close. I don't have any information on the company other than the name.

Mark, I brought one years ago at the time it looked like a nice system but got many deducts. I think I have heard they made changes, ask them what side the seam is on for the muffler, should be in board on each side. That was one think that bothered me it was wrong and fact that the pipes were aluminized, I think he now does carbon steel.

From what I have been able to tell they are about the best out there.
I purchased an internet special for my C2. Couldn't even bolt the muffler to the bracket, on side only. They were indignant when I wouldn't slot my OEM parts.
They did take them back. I just put back on the system I purchased from the Local GM dealer in the late 70's.
Fits perfect. Personally, I would take the deduct for the aluminized system.
