Question on reproduction horns for C2's

Has anybody seen/bought the reproduction horns sold by various vendors? eg.>Corvette Central;Tracy Corvette Parts and
others. They are advertised as follows:

GM Licensed Quality reproduction horn assemblies for 1964-1967 Corvettes. These exact reproductions feature the correct swirl shaped housings with the correct "Delco-Remy" logo and #9000. Includes the correct mounting brackets spotwelded on as original on each horn assembly.

Not sure how they would do in judging? Can the date codes be even seen by the judges the way the horns are placed
    up front? Comments Please>> Thanks>Larry

Re: Question on reproduction horns for C2's

Larry, Those look really good to me. I wish they were available when I restored several C2's years ago. I used the universal bracket type then.

The 3 digit horn part# isn't there on these but they have the Delco Remy Made in U.S.A. (H & L in circles) debossings and the 12V 9000 stamp on one corner of each if you zoom in.

I'd think just a small deduct for not having the appropriate part# suffix on the other corners, ie 487(Low note), 488(High note). but then again one could get creative there I'd wager to guess.....

Here's the link to the CC part....

Richard>Thank you very much for your input. This is probably the way I'll go since original ones are very hard
to find and if you do they will be in very rough shape. Larry

They are nice; just stamp them and you'll be good to go!
