    Saginaw:

    casting of cylinder heads, engine block, waterpump

    Flint:

    Machining of cylinder heads, block, camshaft, connecting rods, crankshaft, waterpump, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds

    Assembly of all of the above into complete engine assembly adding all valve train parts, timing set, pistons, bearings, oil pan, timing cover, harmonic balancer, valve covers, spark plugs, distributor, flywheel, clutch/pressure plate (if required), bellhousing (if required), release bearing (if required), clutch fork (if required);

    St. Louis:

    adding all engine peripherals including carburetor or fi, fuel pump, alternator, starter, pulleys, belts, brackets, engine mounts, RFI shielding, air cleaner, fan, fan clutch, spark plug wires, coil
    In Appreciation of John Hinckley

        The engine code (the sequence beginning with "F") was stamped at Flint Engine. The vehicle VIN derivative was stamped at St. Louis.
