66 frame date ?

Hi, looking to find out what would be the time frame for the correct date on the frame to the build date of the car or are they the same. thank you inadvance for any help regard Bob ps car is an oct 8th build date

Robert,
1966 coupe (23514) ordered by me and still in my garage, had no evidence of ever having a crayon date marking the start of it's trip down the chassis build line. I did a frame off restoration in 2006 and the ink rolled date and frame number from Granite were still visible. Let's see what others have to say. Bill

In 1967 the frame date (I consider the date to be the frame build date like all the other "dated" items on the car, not some bogus "pulll date" ) was incorporated into the stencil Identification. I don't know about earlier, however, it appears that it could have been in 1966 also, based on the above comment by Bill Wilhelm about his original car.

Gary , i have purchased a chassis detail kit from them with my vin provided and i received a stencil with just the part # but no date so i am certain my date is hand written. Now i just need to figure out what date would be close to correct
