Climate Control Hose

This is a '69, can anyone tell me where this hose should be ending up or what it supposed to do.

The other end was attached to the climate control. Attached is a picture of it.

Ken,

Perhaps a bit more detail would be helpful. The picture looks like it is taken from the top of the firewall in the engine compartment. is the climate control you are referring to the center console wheels and fan switch that controls the heater? Is this air conditioned or not air conditioned.

I went through all the vacuum connections earlier this year and found the AIM to be helpful along with instructions provided by Dr Rebuild for the replacement hoses.

no ac, this hose went to a t and then to the center console controls

It's the vacuum supply line for the ventilation control in the console. It connects to a vacuum "t" that's typically next to the master cylinder.

Willcoxcorvette.com is a good source for vacuum schematics. Here's their schematic for 70-72 with AC I have on my PC. It's similar to the graphic in the CSM but better annotated (they have diagrams for the headlight/wiper door system too). Note the vacuum line labelled "To vac supply source" that goes through the cowl. They may have a schematic for '69 too.

The HVAC supply line connects to the "T" shown in the right center of the photo. It's clamped to the small port. The larger left port (from photo's perspective) connects to a short line that goes to the nearby wiper door relay. The equally large right port connects to another T on the other side of the master cylinder which leads to the vacuum tank.

Wiper door relay is at the top; LH valve cover at bottom. This is a 1970; 1969 may be a bit different.
