HaHa Ara.... I used to be one of those Mass guys too, but escaped to NH for lower property taxes when I got married to my 17 year old GF of the era.... after going steady(did I reaaly say that?) for 5 years. Yikes where did it go.Or he's having a cigar with Donovan arguing over which one got a higher NCRS score with some scotch.....Those Mass guys, i tell ya....
Mark's probably flying around somewhere, hopefully back in the seat after all of the craziness. I'm tempted to Text or Call Dave to check in here for Mike but I bet he's really playing golf, either that or he's stuck under the 63 or 65 changing oil or something to stay busy.

Edit, missed his post. Ahhhh, there he is. Dave, Now your on a mission. I know you'll find it! (Hope all is well)- Top

Be careful.....Lots of Massachusetts guys in this organization.😀 And we are a sensitive group. Don't forget where you came from Ara..😀
To Rev. Mike's question.......As a Paper guy and owner of two 71's I have never seen a 71 Owners Kit. I think they existed and your post has inspired me to look into it. More to come......That LS-6 car deserves all the real period paper it can get.- Top

Mike,
I had to some digging but here is what I know......
Owner's kits were issued until either 1973 or 1974.
The 1971 Kit was very similar to 1970 Kit and it is difficult to tell them apart. Both have a ground level "sketch" of an Orange LT-1 coupe. As
best I can tell the 1970 Owners kit folder was tri folded and the 1971 Owners Kit was folded in half. Both have the same image.
By this time the only thing that came with these kits were the above folder, a letter from Chevrolet congratulating you on the purchase of your
new Corvette, a then current copy of Corvette News, mention that this Owner will get a subscription to Corvette News and an ID Card ( likely
plastic) that contains your Vehicle VIN number. Note there is no mention of key numbers that were on previous owner ID cards.
68 and 69 Kits will describe the contents as well.
I hope that helps- Top

Like you I have a 70 Kit which is tri fold like yours. Will be interested in what you just bought to see if my research is correct. That LS-6 is a very special car. Aren't you glad you switched from 62's to C -3's????? More interesting........- Top

Owner Packet with plastic Owner ID card ended with the start of 1974 production. All you received after sending in the Owner Manual Card was a copy of the current issue of Corvette News and the congratulatory letter. They were mailed in the same type envelope Corvette News was mailed in.Larry
