'69 Power Window Motor Black Foam

    Hi everyone,

I pulled the power window motors from my '69, both appear original from dates, and the left side has a piece of black foam, about 2" x 4", adhered to the side which presses against the cover. It appears to have been there a long time as the paint of the area of the door panel cover that it presses against looks good as new. Wondering if this is OEM?

On the other hand, the left side window regulator is broke in the common spot so this could also be someone micky-mousing something to keep it from moving and/or making noise.

    Thanks,

    Jack

Hi Jack, My Jan 69 car has those black foam pads too. Looks like they have been there since day one so I assumed they are original.

Thanks for the response Greg. Yep, they actually show up in the AIM, I just missed them.
