    C2 Front crossover brake line

    An FYI...

I needed to replace the front crossover line on my 63. After 30 minutes of wrestling with the new line I decided to remove the two lower center bumper brackets. With them out of the way the installation took 5 minutes. Will bleed the brakes tomorrow.

    Cheers

Went for that ride today after I bled the brakes. It's 45 and sunny. Was fun. Now I can wash it and cover it for the winter.

In Jan '08 she drove it 100+ miles to Kissimmee with our 2 Cocker Spaniels in the "back", for Bowtie Eval. It was a hot sunny day so she had the A/C on too. I drove my '59 there too for Flight Judging, "Cowl Vent A/C" on mine. lol. We had such a great time that entire trip. Our first FL Chapter event after moving there in late '06.

Love silver blue! First '63 I saw was at local Chevy dealer. 300 HP, 4 speed, 3.36, 2 tops, white soft, silver blue/dark blue, white walls. A year later they had a '64 the same. '64 dealer showroom poster a FI coupe, silver blue, white walls and wheel covers.

              Rich,
My airport pick up driver in his 64 Chevelle couldn't do it as he was your helper that day. As always Old Town was a great weekend meet.

Dave, Yes remember it well. He had his Bronco that weekend driving us back and forth to the Seralago and food places etc. Both of our cars were being judged same time so Chuck was Cathie's guide for the process. She learned much from him that day, so did I.

Funny(now, not then) on the ride there through St Cloud traffic, my '59 was getting overheated so we pulled over for a while. I was worried about getting there late and called Chuck. He talked to the guys about it and as it turned out we were early anyways when we got there. He helped relieve the stress that day. I was a wreck.

My avatar shot is from the day in the judging area. Was lots of stressful fun. I think I cut my head on the trunk but no deducts for blood stains on the latch mechanism as I recall.

Cathie's SB SWC that day. I can tell by the "atypical" spare radial tire.

There was a "vibe" at the Old Town Regionals that just hasn't transferred to the new venue and, yes, I know how hard so many work at the event at its new location..and I admire the effort wholeheartedly. As to the front brake line, I replaced mine on my 63 and I don't remember removing anything to install it, but I have a stubborn streak and don't always do what is easiest. I once changed a 61 cove side spear without removing the kick panel - just being persnickety. and lazy I guess.
