67 3x2 Carbs Gasket Too Large

    Hi:
I know carburetor rebuild kits are trying to be as universal as possible. On the vacuum pods, and the base gaskets the gaskets stick out.
I was looking at the AIM, and there is only one part number for the base gasket. It looks like some of the gasket features are based on the center carb, and stick out on the front and rears carbs.
I've included pictures of the areas in question. Would these protrusions be expected? Or should they be trimmed accordingly?

Thanks for any insight, you can provide. I'd like to address this now before I start bolting up the fuel lines.

yes, I agree with you. some manufactures are better than others but you have to trim the extra gasket off - better to do it be for bolting them on
