    Mid-year positive battery cable

I recently acquired a GM positive battery cable for my 1964-327 NO AC CAR. The overall length is 16 inches and it appears to me that it should/could be longer for routing. What should the actual size for this cable application be? Jack J.

Your battery should be oriented with Positive closest to the engine and go straight to the starter solenoid. The cable runs thru a clip attached to the battery heat shield.

A late addition to an earlier post - Corvette Central lists cables for the 64 non-A/C with correct spring clamps - Positive is Black and 18" - Ground is Brown and 24" according to their part details.
