i have the classic corvette club 1973 roster which lists all members of CCC And the Owners name as well as the VIN # of the corvettes each member owned back in 1973. might help some current NCRS members determine who owned their 53-55 vets back in 73. I just sent a copy of this roster to our archive director, bill sangrey, who will add this piece of corvette history to the archives. mike mccagh

I was a member of CCC while my Dad (who owned '54 #3300 at the time) was a member of the turkey farmer's club.

JIM: I'M way too computer illiterate to put it online. but if u or any ncrs member wants me to search my original roster, just PM me. may take a white to search. I joined CCC and the vintage corvette club (turkey farmer) not too long after I got my first 57 vet in late 1970. the 1973 CCC roster is the only CCC roster with vin#'s of members 53-55 vets. the 74 and 75 rosters just list members and addresses. no vin #'s in the later rosters. mike

Mike, my January 1974 Membership Directory for CCC has VIN #'s.

Dan: you are correct. my 74 roster does list owner's vin #'s. it was the 1975 roster that didn't list vin #'s. mike

54 vin 2040 isn't listed i the roster. i failed to mention that not all members in the roster preferred to not list their cars complete vin #. i'd estimate that about 90% of owner did allow the full vin # to be printed in the roster. mike

Today, Someone on Facebook posted what appears to be a December 1953 listing of Corvette owners. There are said to be 69 names, of mostly executive level men. Dinah Shore is listed in "Hollywood, CA". There is a cover letter explaining the desire to create a Corvette Club. Is this real?

Roster of Members - 1969

I acquired the above named roster many, many, years ago. Like many other things bought at Carlisle and other swap meets, it got filed away for years.

Mark Francis is a member of our Pittsburgh Tri-State Chapter whom I've spoken to before. I will call him tomorrow to see if I can scan the roster over to him for possible posting online as a research tool (might be some "legalities" involved here, idk). Hope it will help a member to find a previous owner of their car.

Re: That listing of owners from December 1953. Ralph Bogan was the father of current NCRS member Mike Bogan. Mike posted a picture of his Dad sitting in his '53 in the Winter 1983 issue of the Restorer.
