Now that our BOD has cancelled the FL February Regional Meet, it is appropriate to extend the period for online virtual judging schools. Online judging schools are now approved for presentation through April 30, 2021. Several chapters have sponsored these virtual schools, and the members seem to have enjoyed the process (and the points). Please remember that a school must have at least 60 minutes of judging-related material/discussion in order to qualify for award of points. (Please note, the FL Regional Meet has been cancelled, but the FL Chapter may elect to continue with a Chapter Meet at Sun n' Fun.)

Re: Virtual Judging Schools Approved through 4/30/2021
Hi Mark,
Sorry you couldn't make our New England event. When any Chapter posts an event we are limited by the program that NCRS National uses to 35 Characters (letters, numbers and spaces) in the main title section. The Chapter Administrators that post these events try to include as much information as possible in the title. We are all in a new learning process for doing these virtual schools. Our NJC has extended the time that we can do these through April 2021. I would suggest that our members read through all the posted events to see if the event is virtual or not. It is my hope that we continue to do these events well past April!

Now I understand - I did not know of the limitation - I will read the entire event description in the future to discern if they are virtual or not.
Are you able to share whatever recording was made of your event? or Will you be posting that somewhere (New England Chapter website?) for download?
These schools have been great for me and are a way to keep sharp during all of this unprecedented SHUT-DOWN. I have gained lots of new information on technical issues that cross many of the judged generations outside of my C2 comfort zoneIt also keeps your mind engaged on "fun stuff"...thanks to all of you folks for doing these...and I look forward to your next one in February. thx, Mark

Re: Virtual Judging Schools Approved through 4/30/2021
I attended the 63-64 mechanical judging seminar held on Dec. 13th. Joe Scafidi, Andy Cabral and Tom Nowak from the New England Chapter did an excellent job putting this on. It was very informative and provided a judge's perspective on what to look for in the area of originality. Well done guys!! I hope there will be more presentations like this in the future.- Top

Enclosed is the link for the recorded portion of the seminar. When we had speaker issues, and had to reboot, we forgot to hit record, so the first 5 minutes is lost. We are all learning, and each seminar will just get better. The link is:
