    Parts Catalog help needed

If you are reading this and have a Chevrolet Chassis, Parts and Accessories Catalog, you can help.

I am looking for information regarding the 1962 Corvette voltage regulator. This information can be found in the Group Number 2.500 REGULATOR page in the catalog. What I need to know is your catalog's EFFECTIVE DATE (shown on the front cover of the catalog) and the information on the 62 CORVETTE line including the amp rating and Part Number.

    EXAMPLE: EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 1961
    62 Corvette ........... 35 amp (stamped 1119002 (w/1102115) 1119002

I have the catalogs with EFFECTIVE dates of OCTOBER 1, 1961, 1962, 1963 so I don't need information from these catalogs. What I need is information from succeeding catalogs to determine when Part Number 1119002 became unavailable from GM, what service replacement regulator Part Number took its place, and so on down the line until there was complete unavailability of a 1962 Corvette voltage regulator from GM. If you have a catalog that has no listing of a voltage regulator for the 1962 Corvette I would also like to know that.

This is an easy task to help me research this information.

My catalog page dated June, 1962 still shows the GM #1119002 for all 1962 Corvette.

The GM #1119002 was discontinued from SERVICE in November, 1964 and replaced by the GM #1119305. So, P&A catalogs dated prior to November, 1964 will show the 1119002. Those dated on or after November, 1964 will show the 1119305 (or, subsequent supersessions).

                  Re: Parts Catalog help needed

I would like to thank all that participated in this thread. The info provided has answered many of my immediate questions about these voltage regulators, and at the same time poses new questions to explore. The Black Book and 1953 -67 Corvette Specifications Guide Book while providing much info about generators, starters, coil and distributors seem to have forgotten that there is also a voltage regulator in this system that has a changing part number and date like the other parts listed here that changes with model years, pertinent info and application. If there is such a reference book that includes the voltage regulator I am unaware of it.

I would like to wish all a Very Merry Christmas & a Happier and SAFE New Year ..................
