I pulled my car out of storage last week after many years of sitting to start final prep for paint. There are blisters on the upper panel that came from Corvette Image many years ago. Did anyone find a fix for this problem short of a complete replacement? Has anyone used Duratec primer for this? Thanks

Re: Corvette Image blistering
Its my understanding that its contamination from the release agent used to get the part out of the mold and that CI solved the problem years ago. My painter still has a bad taste in his mouth about it from long ago when he had to repaint a surround because of the problem and still refuses to use CI panes. I don't have details on how he finally prepped the surface to deal with the issue.- Top

Re: Corvette Image blistering
I had an identical problem about 15 years ago. we used a rotary die grinder and ground a concavity at each blister. then resin in the concavities . sold the car within a year and dont know if our treatment was long lived. there must have been over a thousand concavities. I too have heard the company solved the problem. mike- Top
