    C2 radio grounding summation

Been off doing some tables for C2 radio ground straps with Gary Beaupre & Rich Mozzetta. We have a decent list based upon AIM's however some more review would be welcome. We have attempted to list each part number at the start of MY and then add notes when things changed. As for details of each part number that is planned for later with drawings when possible. So please help!
    thank you

Edit(Rich M): The pdf has been reviewed, researched and updated HERE in the DoRD Sticky Main Page. Refer to that page's UPDATE PAGE for the update OR it could now reside in the MAIN PAGE based on the timeframe of when you see this post.

    Re: C2 radio grounding summation

    Alan,

You've done some outstanding work on this. This is a excellent reference with details and notes to help identify these parts. Thanks for your dedication. You and Gary have worked hard to put this together.

If anyone has any other input please let us know. This will be a ongoing task as we learn more. This will be updated and placed in our Documentation Sticky after any feedback and changes and can be updated any time later if needed. We decided to start a new specific thread for this so it doesn't get lost in the Sticky. I'll move it there later.

What would also help is if anyone has any GM design prints for any of the listed part numbers in the attached pdf that would be a great addition also. Please jump in if you do.

    Thanks,
    Rich

            Doug,

Great photo. Thanks. I count and extrapolate there are 12 external teeth, which is what I think most people will report. I think the OD is 0.75”.

I don’t want you to remove the bolt, but my expectation is that you would find there are 8 internal teeth. But the existence of internal teeth is still to be verified.

Exhaust grounding straps - I am not sure they are 100% untouched even though they look like yet.

                    Gary,

Bolts on the exhaust to frame ground straps are marked "E" and they are indented heads. I cannot see any evidence of a star washer. As far as the body to frame ground strap, I can see the star washer. When I get a chance to get under the car, I will check further on whether there is evidence of a washer ever being on the exhaust to frame straps and also check other ground locations for washer evidence.

                        Gary,

The first chance I get, I will get under the car and loosen the bolt strap bolts to see what the backside of the strap ends look like. Star washers can and do leave marks in the metal.

                          Doug,

I agree. If a star was ever present, there should be evidence of it hidden under the ground strap terminal.

                            Doug,
Looks like a star washer at these points however the truth is in the removal.
