    Dave Ewan (177) Passing

It is with great sadness that I pass on the news that long time NCRS member Dave Ewan, one of the founding members of the Texas chapter passed away today. Dave was a former Vice President of the NCRS and Region VII representative. He will be greatly missed.

Sad news, I judged and worked with Dave over the years on events and the planning for the 2016 National. I will miss him and his unique humor. RIP my friend.

Sorry to her of Dave's passing. He taught me much judging '56-'57's. Hard to believe he has passed. I will miss the horn honking on his scooter and his always great chocolate deserts. R.I.P. my friend and thanks for all the memories.

Second dose of sad news in a week. Bill Clupper and Dave Ewan were loyal and important members of our little club. Both will be missed for their contributions and for their friendship.

More sad news. I worked with Dave on the agenda for many meets while he was VP. We have lost another great member. My condolences to his family.

                  Re: Dave Ewan (177) Passing

I just talked to Dave on January 12th. I purchased several parts from him; as he was liquidating his collection. I first met Dave at the National Convention in St. Paul 1996; which I helped organize. We judged chassis components on several 56 and 57s. I had a brand new white shirt on; and I asked Dave if he was going under the cars. He said no; you can see by my size, I won't be going under. So much for that clean white shirt. We communicated often through the years, and he was a wealth of information on the early Corvettes. He had a strong passion for NCRS and the hobby. If there was an issue; he would respond right away. He was a fine gentleman; and he will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences! Mark

                    Re: Dave Ewan (177) Passing

NCRS and the Texas Chapter have lost one of the best. Dave was one of four charter members on the original application to form the Texas Chapter. He was elected to the NCRS Board in 2014, where he served as Vice-President from 2015 through 2020. We worked together as a team dealing with issues large and small, and I appreciated his friendship and wise counsel. My thoughts and prayers go out to Lynn and the family at this difficult time. As for Dave, he is already driving a `57 airbox in heaven. Rest in peace my friend.

                    Mike

So sorry to hear the sad new about Dave's passing. He was a staunch supporter of the Louisiana Chapter and helped and encouraged us in many ways. He will definitely be missed. Condolences to his beautiful wife, Lynne.

Kay and I, are sad to hear the news of Dave's passing. Dave actually helped us find Joe Santamaria, the new National Road Tour Chairman for the next National.

Sorry to hear the news of Daves passing. Although I didn't know him well, the times that I did have interaction with him he was gracious in sharing his expertise while being a real gentleman. We have lost another great longtime contributor to the hobby we all love. He will be sorely missed.
