Sad news indeed, Dave taught me so much on 56-57's I really enjoyed judging with him. He was a great teacher and friend he will be missed by many. My prayers to Lynn and the family. RIP Dave.

WOW, two great guys in this same week. I served under BILL CLUPPER in the 80's on the National BOD. I met him in San Diego when he worked for GM. They tested many car parts on San Diego Cab company cars. He loved fuel injection cars and I helped him buy his 65 Fuel coupe.

DAVE EWAN and I met at Bloomington many years ago. We both loved 57 RPO 684 and AIR BOX cars. In 2018 we had scooter races in the hallways of Texas Regional.

                  Rest well my friends.

I will always remember you when you would ask me Opie how are you and what's new and it would bring a smile to my face!
May you rest in peace and God bless you and watch over your family

                        Re: Dave Ewan (177) Passing

good to see Opie here on the DB, but hate to lose Dave Ewan to make it happen.
Whenever I bumped into Mr. Ewan at any Regional and National, I would always say, "Hello Mr. Ewan, how're things going for you these days?"
And every time his answer would be, "Watchit now, Mr. Ewan was my father. I'm just Dave." And we would laugh at that.
Dave was good people, and I'm going to miss seeing him riding around on his scooter at meets.

Very sad news. Dave gave 110% to NCRS both on the chapter level and the national level. I worked with Dave closely on the BOD and while he excelled in many areas many of us were very happy with his expertise with the gourmet banquet menu. He will be missed. My condolences to Lynn and his family. Rest in Peace.
