I would leave them.
The chassis on 63s was painted with a LOT of blackout. While this decreased during the 63-67 years, I would expect them to be black.
And, it might be 1 point out of 4500 for the finish? Hardly worth the effort when we know black is correct.Vice-Chairman (West), Michigan Chapter NCRS

That's my outlook too...Stuart, as Bob says leave them alone, blackout was sprayed to partly cover the rear suspension. When I judge 63/64 I don’t deduct for blackout or natural. There’s is just to much controversy at the moment. There is rumor the the next edition JRM will be forth coming. We’ll see what changes it brings.- Top
