    1964 corvette

I am a new NCRS member, in a frame off restoration of an all original 1964 corvette 365hp coupe. Am trying to find out what paint colors are the original, for the rear end, axles, springs, gas tank, etc. Any help would be appreciated.
    thanks
    Chuck

    Hello Charles,

I would invest in a 1963/1964 NCRS Technical Information Guide and Judging Manual. It will answer your questions. Welcome to the NCRS Technical Discussion Board.

Rear end (diff assembly) - natural, no paint or finish
Rear leaf spring - a grey / blue - repro paint that closely matches is available from vendors - I think the stuff Quanta sells is decent
Gas tank - natural - no paint
          Axles - unfinished

In addition to a judging guide I highly recommend getting a copy of the AIM - Assembly Instruction Manual. Also - learn how to research this forum - not to stifle you but.... about 98% of the questions that will come to your mind have already been asked and answered by a lot of members that have a tremendous amount of experience.

Must disagree (& have proof) that rear end and half shafts are natural, they're NOT!

HOWEVER the JG calls for them to be natural, so leave it natural. If the JG ever gets it correct again it's simple to have it blacked out, but
going the other way can be very costly.

Agree with Alan, wait for next JG to be published, might sort out some of the ongoing issues.
