This should help. After I took it apart and media blasted it.

Re: Requesting Photos of an original 1963 Leaf Spring
Stuart,
The original 63 springs are different than other mid years as the top 3 leafs are arched and not flat (see the photos Harry attached). The only thing on the Eaton spring that is correct is the large bottom leaf the other's have an upturned end which is a little different than the originals had.- Top

Re: Requesting Photos of an original 1963 Leaf Spring
Thank you guys! The leaf springs off my '63 are all curved; however, they do not turn upwards. Since I couldn't find originals, I'm going with the Eaton for now and I'll keep an eye out for an original set down the road. I didn't see the subtle difference with the upturn at the edge. I thought the edges had a radius and that was the difference; it seems that the original ends are much thinner.- Top

Bob------
The 1963 leaf spring with 9 curved leaves is called a single rate or single stage spring. The 1963 front coil springs with evenly spaced coils were also single rate/single stage.
The 1964+ spring with 6 curved leaves and 3 flat leaves are dual rate or dual stage springs. 1964+ coil springs with closely spaced coils on the upper end are dual rate/dual stage springs. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Requesting Photos of an original 1963 Leaf Spring
You caught me with a sharp eye.
It was indeed shy, I found it later, after it missed out on it's graduation picture.
It is now happily sitting with it's siblings.
The paint was some industrial gray. Stunk up the whole shop.
I believe it will last longer than the spray can stuff.
