                    By the way, gasoline-resistant flurosilicone RTV is available from industrial and aviation sources. It runs about $100 for a 3 oz tube. In some cases a special primer is needed to cause good adhesion. It's equally expensive. I "went down this road" many years ago searching for a solution to a vexing problem for which a solution ultimately proved to be futile.
