Sorry: Newbie Question: Best Resource to Determine what suspension parts are painted?

Hey everyone. First time user. A friend of friend had developed parkinsons in a mid frame off restore. Ive currently blasted and painted the frame and am cleaning and blasting the suspension components. I want to make this as close as I can get it without going crazy.

What is the best resource to understand which suspension parts are painted and which ones are not?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Best,
    Bill

Bill your going to want to purchase a JM (Judging manual)for the year of you car. This will help you while doing your frame resto. Sometimes it’s not always clear, so always. Ask your questions here someone will always help you here.

        Bill,
The Corvette Assembly instruction Manual can be a great help on how everything goes back together.
What year car are you restoring?
        Good Luck,
        Allen

I second the recommendation for Joe Tripoli's Chassis Book. It gives a very detail description of all parts and numbers. It will tell you the color of all items, in a essay to follow manner. I used this book in preparation for my NCRS Duntov Award.

I really like Joe Tripoli’s book as well, but just remember, we have learned some things since the Tripoli book was published, which tell us some things in the Tripoli book are incorrect. For example, the statement in the Tripoli book that frame stencils for ‘66 are not dated and a hand-written date was used. We now know that is incorrect for most of the ‘66 model year. My recommendation is to make sure that whatever guidance one takes from the Tripoli book agrees with the JG for a particular year.
