I found out there were two heaters in 1963. My car was built the end of May 63 and I think I need the later heater. Could someone please explain what all is different? I think the way the cables is different and lower diffuser is not the same. HELP Thanks in advance.+

There were two different boxes in 63. The first design had some minor changes from initial build, but let's stick to two designs. The first had the spring and lever, the second had the wheel apparatus that was used through 67. The Y duct on the second design box is different than the first design box. The air diverter (snout) changed about March of 1963 to accommodate C60 cars.
I have a second design box dated inside with a stamp. The date is late April 1963.
My opinion for a May 63 car would be the second design box, Y duct and air diverter.
The first design box did not work all that well. It would leak air and was difficult to use. The second design is much better.
