Re: Broken intake manifold clip
This...and, simply retorque the bolt. Don't overthink this.I installed the intake on my engine tonight (64 L75). When torquing the bolts, I hadn’t realized how far the large clip that holds the rubber hose that runs from the carb to the oil fill tube had spun, and one of the tangs broke. I didn’t know what else to do, so I took the clip out and torqued the bolt down. Now what? I could just back the bolt off a little and put a new clip under, or remove the bolt entirely and install with some additional fresh sealant (ARP). I don’t think cleaning the threaded hole is an option because some of the gunk, could fall into the lifter valley and I do not want to take this thing apart again. Thanks for any advice.Leif
