Re: C2 Coupe - Sealing the Door Jamb Rain Gutter
Agree with Edward completely. The GM product used in some areas was a beige color, although I've seen some black. Here is the 3M strip caulk under the w/strip retainer and under the gutter w/strip. This one a '67.
edit... It had bad leaks right under the gutters when I washed it for the first time.

After the fix it was dry as this repair using the strip caulk solved it. More images below.

I am more concerned about the area above the hinge pillar weather strip (vs where the gutter assy and the hinge pillar weather strip meets) as well along the entire length of the gutter assembly to the lock pillar at the rear of the door opening. The sealer will have to be paintable (i.e. body color).Attached Files- Top

Ok I wasn't sure, now the photo explains it clearly.
I would use a modern "Seam Sealer" paintable product. You could get it locally at a Auto Paint Supply shop.

Something like 3M Beige Fast and Firm seam sealer is what was probably used originally. Used all over the cars in the 60's and 70's.
There is a newer automix beige HOWEVER it does not tool as well as the original 3M fast and firm(which is still available).James A Groome
