DOES THE 1963 REAR BRAKE LINE RUN ON TOP OF THE DIFFERENTIAL FRONT SUPPORT? IT APPEARS THAT ON TOP IS CORRECT FROM THE DIAGRAMS AND MOST PHOTOS BUT CAN'T REALLY TELL FROM THE AIM. REPLACING ORIGINAL TYPE MASTER CYLINDER WITH DELCO DUAL RESERVOIR, SO DOING 30 YEAR OLD LINES WHILE AT IT. THANKS FOR ANY HELP, jB

Re: C2 brake line routing
Jim, take a look at www.licorvette.com item 51-673U. It a 63 only part. There is a clip that attaches at the two smaller holes that holds the brake line. I can't find a picture of the clip and nut, bolt and washer.

Re: C2 brake line routing
Thanks Harry, I took another look at my LI Corvette Catalog diagrams and maybe I'm not looking at the best one for brake lines but am still not sure if the rear crossover line goes on top or below the differential support. My dilemma is one of my '63s has it running on the bottom and the other on top, which mostly appears to be the correct side.- Top

Re: C2 brake line routing
The brake line goes under. The emergency brake cable goes over. Both have clips. Here' a picture of mine before removal.

Re: C2 brake line routing
Thanks to everyone, especially Bob and Norm for the great pics. They truly are worth much more than words to me as I apologize for not being more clear as to exactly what I was asking for! Bob, when the bottom side looks as nice as your '63, I'm sure you have an exceptionally beautiful car. Congratulations on such a painstakingly wonderful job.- Top

Re: C2 brake line routing
Thanks again to all. One of my '63s has the hydraulic brake line routed along side the parking brake cable and the other car has it correctly routed below the diff support, as in Bob's perfect restoration photo. I just couldn't tell for sure which one was correct from all of the diagrams and photos I had, or could find online.- Top
