1966 Radio Delete Question

Hi:

I located a VERY interesting '66 radio delete car (300HP small block) over the weekend here in AZ and only have some limited photos from the seller. I do not have a current copy of the new 66 manual. (yet)

I know the main distributor shield is not present on a radio delete car.... but how about the lower shielding below the exhaust manifolds? My "GUESS" is it is there... as a heat shield?

Anybody have one of these rare cars or know for sure about the lower "V" shaped shields.... I should know this but....

Also....any other radio delete knowledge nuggets would be appreciated.....

Bill, AIM Sheets U69 show what should be there with the radio RPO(not a delete...technically).

The V shields should not be there. Spark plug shields, yes, 4 of them.

If no U69, the holes for ground straps at trans crossmember should be clean unthreaded holes. No straps elsewhere but IIRC left chassis to birdcage front sill channel should be, and one engine mount.

Also no Condensers anywhere. However I've seen a few no U69 cars that had one under the pedal support.
