67 Power-Glide Question

Hello:

I have been looking at a couple of power-glide equipped 67's (300HP) and most have a metal loop from the transmission up to the passenger side of the intake manifold and then a rubber hose connection to the vacuum outlet on the intake manifold....see the photo below...

I did not see a specific call-out for this in the 67 Judging manual...(I may have missed it??) ...

Any way, I assume this to be a correct configuration? Any input would be appreciated....

Bill it looks to be the vac line for the PG modulator valve. Not sure about that inverted U pipe though. Our 63 had 3/16" diameter steel pipe laying flat along the manifold to a Tee then to the front of the AFB carburetor.

What does the 67 AIM show?

I was able to piece together some information on the line.....

It is in fact the "Modulator Line" that runs from the modulator on the PG transmission and then up to the right side of the engine. From there, as expected it hooks into the vacuum "T fitting on the intake manifold.....

Although I have no specific proof it does appear that the line has the "U shape". The 67 Judging guide actually mentions the modulator line but does not indicate the loop configuration.

See the two photos below....both are from a 67 with Power-Glide.. one is current vendor offering (extra tubes??) and the other is an original....I suspect the original may have been shortened and a rubber hose added at the bottom end.
