    Jack,

    Key ON, temp sensor wire on engine sensor to ground, should peg the meter.

    Key OFF, check meter/gauge connections, in particular the studs for the connector and the other stud nut for the ground to the gauge. Also the small screws for the gauge pod. All meter grounds come from cluster backplate screws.

    Sometimes backing off and a retightening will correct a bad connection.

    At ambient, the sensor should read around 300 to 500 ohms but varies a lot based on manufacturer. Hot(180*) should be in the 100 or so range. I have a long post in here somewhere showing extensive sensor testing.

        Good. Glad it was simple. Corvettes and Grounds always a issue.
