1969 Engine Harness connection to Transistorized Ignition K66

    All,

I'm installing a new engine harness (lectric Limited) in my 1969 L46 w/ AC and transistorized ignition. I'm having a problem reading the AIM and how I am supposed to modify the new engine harness to connect to the K66 harness.

Below is a picture below with the two-wire coil connection on the new engine harness, and the existing connection that ties into the K66 harness. Thoughts on how to proceed?

I found this slightly vintage, very informative thread:

Looks like I need to modify the wire, but anyone have a source for this bulkhead? Lectric Limited specifically states they do not sell individual components, except in their repair kits, which this part is not.

      Hi Peter,

Looks like you are missing two things for conversion:

      1. The circled female terminal and its plastic cover shell (P/N 5601 - $10)
      2. The pink extension wire that connects to the steering column connector inside and exits thru the firewall. (P/N 5378 - $16)

Fortunately, Paragon Reproductions offers (as I assume others) these items to be purchased separately. Paragon P/Ns referenced above.

I had to buy these items as well, since I also purchased a Lectric Limited Harness at Carlisle and it did noy have these two required items for conversion.

That's perfect, thank you Bill! I do already have the pink extension wire as it's still in the car, just needed that little connector to modify the new wiring harness.

Thank you very much for the help.

Wow I remember that thread. I learned a lot about C3 TI wiring on that one!
