    C3 Tire Size

I see recommendations for 205x75x15 and also 215x70x15. Will order T/A's but what size do you think best? Wonder if the wider rub?

I use to run 225/70R15 on my '72. Fit without rubbing and filled the wheel well nicely.

215-70-15 is spelled out in the JG as close to the original F70-15.
The 215’s have no clearance problems on my ‘69.

Note that the current TA's have significant problems with the white letters turning brown - quickly - and being difficult to clean. Even though I currently have them on 2 cars, I am reluctant to use them as replacements given this.

I second that, Patrick! I have to use brake cleaner on the RWLs every two weeks to keep them from turning the yellowish-brown. Lots of needless work that could have been avoided if BFG did a better job in the manufacturing process ... They may end up losing a lot of business because of this issue.

I have the radial T/As mounted with the white letters facing in. Put a little black shoe polish on the white letters and the problem is solved. That is just my preference. I like black walls nice and clean.

Bob Are you using paste or liquid polish?

Using liquid. It sometimes takes 2 coats but it works well.

Bob Will the color fade after some time? I was thinking about trying to make red walls.

It has not faded after three plus years

Do you want a tire size close to the original? Or the largest/widest that will fit? Google "Tire Size Calculator" to compare dimensions of different tire sizes. I don't know what year C3 you have but for example, in 1970:
