    dan is correct. bob's sleeves slid over any delco coil and could become a 107 instantly. I recall the sleeve was about 45 bucks.. they were constructed from copper. I believe bob has passed on. mike mccagh

        Yep, that was Bob, a real craftsman, his were NICE !!!

          The "S" tube was amazing. The gauge of the metal was twice that of an original and it was hard to imagine how he actually made it. The seam was stitch (approx 2" long welds) welded so it didn't match the originals with the overlapping seam but it was quite a piece of art. He was a very talented fabricator.

            Dave: I dont know about bob repoing S-tube but he was definitely from calif(southern I think). mike

              I once bought what appeared to be an original #107 Delco coil at Carlisle. When I got it home to test and restore it I found a brass 107 embossed tag soldered over another number. Indictable with paint over it but once the paint was removed easy to see. Just another junk coil at that point. I now wonder where the brass tag came from.
