Metallic brakes-what do I have here?

Are the later reproductions, or? Last photo is a used piece (1 of 4), the remaining sets are new. Have many more photos if needed. Tia

"Metallic linings are double sintered as compared to the single and much larger sintered ceramatalix linings."

I recall that the cerametallics (I assume a cermet material) were used on the Corvette SS and maybe the early C1 and C2 HD brakes, but if anyone can explain the above statement I'd love to know.

The following metallic brake shoe unit part numbers (2 three-puck primary and 5 five puck-secondary) are from my 2/77 P&A catalog Group 5.017A:

Duke, I believe you are thinking of RPO 686 which used 2" front shoes and standard drums with a finer surface finish.

RPOs 684 and 687 used 2-1/2" front shoes and the wider, heavy, finned brake drums.
